'This evening, the City of Reading City Council commends
Stoudt Auto Sales Inc. and the Stoudt family for 50 years of
auto sales and service along the Warren Street Bypass.
Whereas, the owners of
Stoudt Auto Sales Inc. have maintained excellent quality and
service of automobiles for 50 years. Stoudt, a name relied
upon in the automotive industry for over 70 years, Began in
1923 as Stoudt Chevrolet, a family owned dealership in
Leesport, PA. The Stoudt family and Business moved to their
present location in (Reading, PA in 1958, where they
continue to sell quality pre-owned cars and trucks; and
Whereas, through a
family-tradition of Business and a good reputation Stoudt
Auto Sales Inc. has been able to achieve economic success,
with a specialization in Corvette sales. This specialization
has allowed Stoudt Auto Sales to sell more than 5600
Corvettes to date; and
Whereas, Stoudt Auto Sales
Inc. is an excellent example of a Business whose commitment
to service has allowed it to evolve through generations of
automobile changes.
Now, therefore, the Council of the
City of Reading commends as follows:
It is with great dignity and honor that the Council of
the City of Reading presents this Commendation to Stoudt
Auto Sales Inc. Council recognizes Stoudt Auto Sales Inc.
for its commitment and dedication to the people of the City
of Reading and to the consistent quality and service of car
sales.
Stoudt, a name relied upon in the automotive industry for over 70
years, began in 1923 as Stoudt Chevrolet, a family owned
dealership in Leesport, Pa. In 1953, Stoudt Chevrolet relocated to
Lebanon, Pa and became Stoudt Chevrolet-Cadillac. Finally, in 1958,
the Stoudt families moved to their present
location in Reading, Pa. where Stoudt Auto Sales, Inc. has been
selling quality pre-owned cars and trucks.
Having sold over 5900 Corvettes to date, Stoudt Auto Sales
